AC Milan are planning a move for Marseille star Florian Thauvin.
According to the football transfer rumours in Italian media, AC Milan are in advanced talks to bring Marseille winger Florian Thauvin.
The 26-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
The France international joined Marseille from Newcastle United for a fee in the region of 11 million euros in July 2017. His contract expires in the summer of 2021.
He’s incredibly experienced for a 26-year-old and still has tons of room for growth.
As a member of France national football team, Thauvin won 8 caps.
The France international has impressed in Ligue 1 this season and is starting to attract the interest of bigger clubs.
AC Milan have built a reputation for recruiting young talent from within Europe, predominantly targeting those with sell-on value and immense potential. They are desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.
Florian Thauvin would provide a good variety to Milan’s attack.
According to Football Italia, “Milan are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Olympique Marseille and France winger Florian Thauvin. According to France Football, Milan are ‘very close’ to reaching an agreement with Thauvin. The reputable publication explains Marseille are willing to let the attacker go for €30-40m, given his contract is about to enter its final two years. The 26-year-old helped OM reach the Europa League Final last season, while he was part of the France squad who won the World Cup.”

Marseille are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the winger, but offers of at least 30 million euros may force the club to consider a deal.
Stylistically, Thauvin would be a great fit in Milan.
