West Ham willing to make 15 million euros offer for Hans Vanaken
As the winter transfer window comes closer and closer West Ham are being linked with more and more potential transfers.
The latest reports in England suggest that West Ham are willing to make 15 million euros offer for Hans Vanaken.
The 28-year-old has been with Club Brugge since 2015, having signed for the club from Lokeren for 4 million euros. The Belgium international’s current deal expires in 2025.
The midfielder has banged in 8 goals and provided 6 assists in 24 matches for Club Brugge this term on all fronts.
The 28-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in Belgium.
Hans Vanaken has earned 8 senior caps for the Belgium national team but is yet to open his goal-scoring account for his nation.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including West Ham.
David Moyes wants to sign a new midfielder and Vanaken is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this winter.
The Hammers are desperate to make an impact in the winter transfer window.
There is no doubt that Vanaken will take West Ham’s midfield to a different level.
According to the report, “West Ham United are eyeing Club Brugge midfielder Hans Vanaken. Het Nieuwsblad via Voetbal24 says the Irons are weighing up making a €15m bid for Vanaken next month. A free-scoring midfielder, Vanaken, 28, has caught the eye for Club Brugge in Champions League action this season. Indeed, last term Vanaken became the first player since Jan Ceulemans in 1986 to win back-to-back Belgian Golden Shoe awards. Vanaken won the award on the back of 20 goals and 7 assists during 2019. Vanaken struck in Club Brugge’s final Champions League group game against Lazio this month. The match finished 2-2, with the Belgians needing a victory to reach the final 16. Instead, they will meet Dynamo Kyiv in the Europa League round of 32 in February. Vanaken signed a new deal in October and it runs to 2025. But in Belgium there is a belief he is now ready to jump to a bigger stage.”
