The Nigeria international joined Bordeaux from Sunderland for a fee in the region of 1.7 million euros in January 2019. His contract expires in the summer of 2023.
The striker has banged in 8 goals and provided 3 assists in 24 matches for Bordeaux this term on all fronts.
The 21-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Nigeria. As a member of Nigeria national football team, Maja won one cap.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including West Ham.
By the club’s own admission, Bordeaux striker Josh Maja is West Ham’s transfer target.
