West Ham are discussing a move to sign Fernando Llorente.
According to the football transfer rumours in British and Italian media, West Ham are linked with surprise move for Napoli striker Fernando Llorente.
The 35-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
The Spain international joined Napoli from Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer in September 2019. His contract expires in the summer of 2021.
The striker has banged in four goals and provided one assist in 24 matches for Napoli last term on all fronts.
David Moyes is looking to shore up his attacking options and Napoli’s Llorente happens to be a target. He is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this summer.
The Hammers are desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.
There is no doubt that Llorente will take West Ham’s attack to a different level.
According to the report, “The San Paolo-outfit are prepared to sell him in the ongoing transfer window and Llorente has been listening to offers from several clubs. Genoa, Benevento and Parma are interested in signing him in the ongoing window, but for the moment none of those offers interest Llorente. According to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, the 35-year-old striker has rejected all the approaches from clubs in Italy and he wants to leave Serie A. Llorente wants to move away from Italy and has offers on his table from clubs in England, Germany and Spain. West Ham have been linked with an interest in the striker and David Moyes is keen to add more experience to his squad. It remains to be seen whether the Hammers make a firm offer to land Llorente, especially with him willing to leave Italy.”
