West Ham eyeing Udinese winger Gerard Deulofeu
The upcoming summer will see West Ham improving their attacking department.
According to multiple reports emanating from Italy, West Ham are eyeing Udinese winger Gerard Deulofeu.
The 27-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
Udinese spent 17 million euros to sign the Spain international from Watford in the winter of 2021. The 27-year-old has two years left on his current contract which expires in 2024.
In 39 appearances for Udinese, he has managed to score 10 goals, and create 4 goals for his teammates.
The Udinese winger has also represented the Spain at various youth levels before going on to secure 4 senior caps for his country.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including West Ham.
The Hammers are looking to sign a winger and have identified the 27-year-old as potential transfer target.
He is thought to perfectly fit the profile of winger David Moyes wants to target in the summer transfer window.
The former Watford man will offer the West Ham boss the freedom to be more flexible with his formations, tactics and team selections.
According to the report, “Former Barcelona man Gerard Deulofeu could be heading back to the Premier League. The creative winger, who spent time at Everton and Watford earlier in his career, is at Udinese at present. The 27-year-old has impressed in Serie A, but may be looking to move clubs in the summer. According to Calciomercato, he has a proposal from West Ham United. The high-flying Hammers may see Deulofeu as a great depth option for their team for next season.”

Udinese are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the winger, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.
Good signing for West Ham?
If Deulofeu is available for the right price, then he could be a clever acquisition for West Ham.
The 27-year-old could be a very good squad player for David Moyes over the next few years. He is at the peak of his career right now and Moyes could bring out the best in him.
