The attacking department of the West Bromwich Albion squad needs quality additions this summer.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, West Bromwich Albion are looking to loan Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi.
The 26-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
Chelsea spent 39 million euros to sign the Belgium international from Marseille in the summer of 2016. The 26-year-old has one year left on his current contract which expires in 2021.
Michy Batshuayi has scored 8 goals and assisted 3 more across all competitions last season.
He is considered to be one of the best strikers in Belgium. Batshuayi has also left his mark at the international stage after netting 16 goals in 29 senior appearances for the Belgium national team.
The 26-year-old is one of the more likely players to be offloaded by Chelsea this summer and the list of suitors in the Belgium international continues to grow.
Slaven Bilic is looking to shore up his attacking options and Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi happens to be a target.
His finishing abilities when in and around the box will come as a massive asset to Bilic’s side.
The report claims that WBA manager has extensively scouted Batshuayi and is considering a move for the striker. Bilic is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this summer.

According to the report, “West Bromwich Albion have made an approach for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi. The Belgian is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge after the signing of Timo Werner. And Football Insider claims the newly promoted Baggies have called Chelsea about acquiring the 26-year-old. The Blues would prefer to sell Batshuayi permanently, but they will allow him to leave on loan if a deal cannot be agreed. Batshuayi has spent time on loan at Crystal Palace, Borussia Dortmund and Valencia since joining Chelsea from Marseille in 2016.”
