Watford keen to land Milan fullback Ricardo Rodriguez
Watford are reportedly one of many clubs keeping tabs on Switzerland international Ricardo Rodriguez.
According to a report from Calciomercato, Watford are keen to land Milan fullback Ricardo Rodriguez.
The Switzerland international joined AC Milan from VfL Wolfsburg for a fee in the region of 15 million euros in July 2017. His contract expires in the summer of 2021.
Rodriguez has played 93 times for Milan since signing from VfL Wolfsburg, scoring 4 goals and creating 5 assists.
His record for Switzerland is also impressive. Rodriguez has scored 8 goals in 71 matches for Switzerland at senior level.
Ricardo Rodriguez is currently out of favor at Milan and could leave the club this winter.
Rodriguez can play multiple positions in defense and midfield.
According to Calciomercato, “Watford are keen and look set to battle Napoli for Milan defender Ricardo Rodriguez next month, according to Il Mattino. The left-back, who also plays for the Switzerland national team, has caught the eye of the Hornets after falling out of favour with new AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli since replacing Giampaolo at the helm at Milan after only 8 games in this season. However, the English outfit will face stiff competition from the Serie A giants in order to secure the 27-year-old’s signature.”
