Valencia pushing to sign Real Madrid striker Borja Mayoral

According to the football transfer rumours in British and Spanish media, Valencia are pushing to sign Real Madrid striker Borja Mayoral.
The 23-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
Borja Mayoral has represented Spain at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 48 caps and scoring 28 goals.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Valencia.
By the club’s own admission, Real Madrid striker Borja Mayoral is Valencia’s number one transfer target.

According to the report, “Real Madrid are pricing Borja Mayoral out of a move to Valencia. Marca says Los Blancos are looking to sell the striker this summer are seeking for around 15 million euros, but that’s too much for Valencia. In response, Valencia are hopeful that they could purchase a percentage of his rights in order to sign the player at a lower fee. Valencia’s need for a striker is still dependent on whether or not Rodrigo Moreno leaves the club. If he does then they’ll look to sign a replacement or even bring one in on loan, such as Watford’s Luis Suarez.”

It is smart from the club to invest in younger players, rather than splashing out big money on experienced players with no resale value.
As for the player, Valencia could be a great place for him to grow as a footballer. They will be able to provide him with regular first-team football and he will be coached by a very good manager like Gracia.
If he manages to fulfill his potential with them, the transfer would seem like a bargain in future.
The ball is in Valencia’s court and they need to take a decision on signing Mayoral.
