Udinese pushing to sign Wolves striker Patrick Cutrone
Patrick Cutrone is getting closer to Udinese day by day as transfer talk continues to intensify.
According to the football transfer rumours in British and Italian media, Udinese are pushing to sign Wolves striker Patrick Cutrone.
Wolves spent 22 million euros to sign the Italy international from Milan
in the summer of 2019. The 23-year-old has three years left on his current contract which expires in 2023.
The striker has featured in 4 matches for Wolves this term in all competitions.
The 23-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Italy.
Patrick Cutrone has represented Italy at Under-15, Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 78 caps and scoring 37 goals, before making his senior international debut in 2018. As a member of Italy national football team, Cutrone won one cap.
The Italy international is believed to be available for transfer, with Luca Gotti now keen to bring him to Udinese.
Gotti is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this winter.
Udinese are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
The Italy international provides a unique blend between a classic center-forward and the modern striker. He has the quality and the experience to make an immediate impact.
According to the report, “Udinese are eyeing Wolves striker Patrick Cutrone. The former Italy U21 international has only just cut short his loan with Fiorentina and returned to Wolves where he has since turned out for the first team. Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano states Udinese are keen on bringing Cutrone back to Italy this month. And it’s suggested Wolves would be open to the move with the arrival of Willian Jose on-loan from Real Sociedad making the Italian surplus to requirements. But FIFA may have something to say on the matter, with Cutrone having featured for two teams already this season.”
