Trade Rumors to Keep an Eye on This Offseason

For football fanatics, there is nothing better than keeping up with the exciting trade rumors. Any particular trade could mean a new beginning for a football club, or it could mean their rival just got a new tool in their arsenal.

Let’s take a look at some of the biggest trade rumors this offseason.

Harry Kane to Manchester City

Harry Kane has been an incredible player stuck on a less than remarkable team for some time now. Despite not bringing home a title, Kane is a beloved player in England. In the lead up to the England vs Russia World Cup showdown, they even wrote a song about him, calling it the perfect choice for a World Cup 2018 anthem. He helped carry the English national team much like he helped carry Tottenham Hotspurs during his time there, but unfortunately it is all but certain that Kane will soon be leaving the club.

Luckily for Kane, there is no shortage of clubs that will be interested in signing him. He is easily one of the best strikers in the world, and will certainly boost any team he lands with. One thing is certain, Kane will be looking to move somewhere he is confident he can win a championship, and he’ll likely be looking for a place where he feels he has more of a presence with management. Of course, the rumors have been flying, and everywhere from Liverpool to Real Madrid have been named. Recently, it seems like Manchester City may be the winner in the battle for this star player.

Erling Haaland to Chelsea

Next up we have the sensational young talent, Erling Haaland. It seems like everyone is talking about the possible transfer we have on the table, Erling Haaland to Chelsea. We also previously mentioned that he was placed on “an emergency sales list.” While Chelsea have repeatedly stated that they are looking for a big striker to round out their squad, the question remains, are they willing to pay Borussia Dortmund’s asking price?

Dortmund is reportedly asking for upwards of $130 million for Haaland. While this may seem steep, the fact is that Haaland is a once-in-a-generation talent who is only 20 years old. If Chelsea want a player they can build around for the future, Haaland may be the best possible option. Of course, this would be one of the biggest trades of the year, so we are waiting with anticipation to see what happens.

Lorenzo Insigne Receiving Offers

Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne has spent his entire professional career with the Italian club and it could finally be time for the winger to begin a new chapter. Insigne has been contacted by both Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur. A trade to either of these teams would be a huge move that is likely to excite their fan bases. Throughout last season, Insigne was one of the most productive players for Napoli, returning 21 goals and 15 assists. Of course, Tottenham Hotspur have recently signed Nuno Espirito Santo as their manager, and he will certainly be looking for some new talent to help mold this club. Insigne would likely be a welcome addition.

Bayern Munich Still Interested in Florian Neuhaus and Eduardo Camavinga

Bayern Munich has repeatedly shown interest in both midfielders Florian Neuhaus and Eduardo Camavinga. Both of these players are certainly talented and can add a lot to the team offensively and defensively. Neuhaus is known as a sensational passer who can regularly be relied on for long passes. This is definitely the kind of ability that Munich could find very useful.

On the other side, Camavinga has an interesting style as a powerful defensive midfielder. He would also be an excellent addition, but it has been said that Munich will have to take Camavinga away from Manchester United, who have also shown heavy interest.

While both players would make great fits, as always the issue comes down to the financial means. It’s uncertain if Munich could invest the needed capital for either of these two. If they are unable to sway one or both, Munich might be looking for some younger, unproven players instead.
