Toulouse midfielder Ibrahim Sangare subject to interest from Everton
Everton need to strengthen their midfield this summer.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Toulouse midfielder Ibrahim Sangare is subject to interest from Everton.
The 22-year-old has a valid contract with Toulouse until June 2021.
This season, Sangare has provided one assist in 26 appearances for Toulouse.
He is considered to be one of the best midfielders in Ivory Coast. As a member of Ivory Coast national football team Sangare won three caps.
His impressive performances this season have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.
Carlo Ancelotti wants to sign a new midfielder and Sangare is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.
Ibrahim Sangare is a long-term target of Everton and could be a decent addition for Ancelotti’s side.
Everton are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
Ibrahim Sangare can play multiple positions in midfield.
According to the report, “Everton are interested in signing Ibrahim Sangare from Toulouse in the summer transfer window. The report has claimed that the Toffees have scouted the midfielder for the past 18 months and opted against signing him last summer, moving for Jean-Philippe Gbamin for £22.5 million instead. Toulouse wanted £22 million as transfer fee for the 22-year-old 6ft 3in midfielder this summer, but after being relegated from Ligue 1 and due to him out of contract in 2021, they will have to settle for a reduced price.”
