Tottenham target Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic
As the summer transfer window comes closer and closer Tottenham are being linked with more and more potential transfers.
Reports in the British media claim that Tottenham are targeting Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic.
Stuttgart spent 1.75 million euros
to sign the Austria international from Admira Wacker in the summer of 2019. The 23-year-old has a valid contract until June 2023.
The striker banged in 15 goals and provided 4 assists in 30 matches for Stuttgart this season across all fronts showcasing just how influential he has been in the final third.
The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Austria.
Kalajdzic has also left his mark at the international stage after netting two goals in three senior appearances for the Austria national team.
He has been in impressive form for Stuttgart this season and it looks like he caught the eye of many European clubs including Tottenham.
The Spurs are looking to sign a striker and have identified the 23-year-old as potential transfer target. They have built a reputation for recruiting young talent from within Europe, predominantly targeting those with sell-on value and immense potential.
José Mourinho is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this summer.
The Austria international provides a unique blend between a classic center-forward and the modern striker. His arrival would give Tottenham some much needed tactical flexibility.
According to the report, “Tottenham will be sending striker Carlos Vinicius back to parent club Benfica this summer. The Daily Mail says Spurs does not intend to trigger the permanent option in the Brazilian’s loan deal – amounting to €45m – and will return the player to Benfica. Instead, Tottenham are already preparing a replacement for Vinícius, with the priority target set: Sasa Kalajdzic. The Austrian striker, who plays for Stuttgart, has in the current season scored 15 goals in 30 matches. Kalajdzic talked up the prospect of playing in England with Liverpool last month.”

It is smart from the club to invest in younger players, rather than splashing out big money on experienced players with no resale value.
