Tottenham join the hunt for Rangers right-back James Tavernier

There has been numerous right-backs linked with Tottenham in past few months.

According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Tottenham have joined the hunt for Rangers right-back James Tavernier.

Tavernier has been at Rangers since 2015 when he joined from Wigan Athletic. The 29-year-old’s contract at Rangers is set to expire at the end of the 2021/22 campaign.

The right-back has banged in 16 goals and provided 11 assists in 25 matches for Rangers this term on all fronts.

His performances have seen him become the target of many Premier League clubs including Tottenham.

The Spurs are looking to sign a right-back and have identified the 29-year-old as potential transfer target.

The Tottenham manager has been impressed by his performances this season and could make a move this winter. Mourinho is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this winter.
