Tottenham join Milan in race for LA Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Tottenham Hotspur could be in for a busy transfer this winter.
According to the football transfer rumours in Italian media, Tottenham Hotspur have joined AC Milan in race for LA Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Sweden international joined LA Galaxy from Manchester United on a free transfer in March 2018.
In 58 appearances for LA Galaxy, Ibrahimovic has managed to score 53 goals, and create 15 goals for his teammates.
His record for Sweden is also impressive. Ibrahimovic has scored 62 goals in 116 matches for Sweden at senior level.
Jose Mourinho is looking to shore up his attacking options and Zlatan Ibrahimovic happens to be a target. He is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this winter.
Tottenham Hotspur are desperate to make an impact in the winter transfer window.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a traditional number nine, having all types of finishes in his locker.
According Football Italia, “Milan’s interest in Olivier Giroud could be explained by Tottenham Hotspur possibly hijacking their move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. According to The Telegraph, Ibrahimovic could fill the void left in Tottenham’s attack by Fernando Llorente, who left for Napoli over the summer. The 38-year-old will become a free agent when his contract with LA Galaxy expires next month. Bologna and particularly Milan have been linked with bringing him back to Italy, but it also emerged earlier that the Rossoneri had enquired about Giroud. The Swede is known for his strong rapport with new Spurs boss Jose Mourinho, having worked with him at Inter and Manchester United. Despite that, the ex-Nerazzurri coach made it clear he would not knock the door down for reinforcements in January.”

If Tottenham are genuinely interested, a deal would not be impossible to complete.
The 38-year-old would be a very good addition for Tottenham and they can afford him as well.
How strong that interest is and whether Tottenham Hotspur will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
