Salernitana looking to loan Michy Batshuayi

The attacking department of the Salernitana squad needs quality additions this summer.

According to the football transfer rumours in British and Italian media, Salernitana are looking to loan Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi.

The Blues spent 39 million euros to sign the Belgium international from Marseille in the summer of 2016.

In 77 appearances for Chelsea, Batshuayi has managed to score 25 goals, and create six goals for his teammates.

The 28-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Belgium. Batshuayi has also left his mark at the international stage after netting 25 goals in 45 senior appearances for the Belgium national team.

Michy Batshuayi is one of the more likely players to be offloaded by Chelsea this summer and the list of suitors in the Belgium international continues to grow.

Davide Nicola wants to loan a new striker and Batshuayi is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. Nicola is a firm fan of Chelsea striker and Salernitana could make a move for the player if the financial aspect makes sense.

The former Marseille man provides a unique blend between a classic center-forward and the modern striker. His finishing abilities when in and around the box will come as a massive asset to Davide Nicola’s side.

According to the report, “Serie A side Salernitana are “negotiating” with the Blues but the negotiations concern only the details of a potential loan move rather than anything more permanent. Chelsea are hoping to include a buy-obligation, but are not getting back positive indications in that regard. Salernitana would be open to a buy-option, which would likely mean absolutely nothing at all. Batshuayi has just twelve months left on his contract, but apparently that could be extended by another year to enable another useless loan.”

Salernitana will have to come up with the right proposal to convince Batshuayi to join the club.

The Blues are preparing to sell or loan their striker should they receive right offer for him.

Michy Batshuayi stands as an excellent option for Salernitana. He has all the skillset required to be a success story at Salernitana. Therefore, it makes sense for Davide Nicola to step up his attempts to bring the Belgium striker to Serie A side.

If Nicola sees him as the right man for his side, Salernitana should quickly make a move to fend off interest from other clubs.
