Roma set to sign Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick

Roma are looking set to land Patrik Schick after Italian Media (Football Italia) revealed that they are in advanced negotiations with Sampdoria ahead of a potential move.
The Czech Republic international has joined Sampdoria from Sparta Prague for a fee in the region of 4 million euros in July 2016. The 21-year-old has a valid contract with Sampdoria until June 2020.
Since his arrival from Sparta Prague, Patrik Schick has scored 13 goals and provided 5 assists in 35 games for Sampdoria.
The 21-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Czech Republic.
Patrik Schick has represented Czech Republic at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 42 caps and scoring 25 goals, before making his senior international debut in May 2016. As a member of Czech Republic national football team, Patrik Schick has won 5 caps and has scored one goal.
The Czech Republic international is high in demand this summer, with him having enjoyed a sublime season for Sampdoria last term.
Roma’s director of football Monchi wants to sign a new striker this summer and Patrik Schick is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.
The report claims that Roma’s director of football has extensively scouted Patrik Schick and is considering a move for the striker.
Monchi wants to continue to strengthening his squad so they’re able to compete both domestically and in the Champions League next season.
