Roma looking to loan Alexis Sanchez
There has been intense speculation surrounding the future of Alexis Sanchez in the last period.
Italian source claim that Roma are looking to loan Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez.
The 31-year-old has a valid contract with Manchester United until June 2022.
This season, Sanchez has scored one goal and provided 3 assists in 15 appearances for Inter Milan.
The 31-year-old is considered to be one of the best forwards in Chile.
His record for Chile is impressive. Sanchez has scored 43 goals in 132 matches for Chile at senior level.
Adding a forward remains Roma’s priority this summer and Paulo Fonseca will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming months.
Fonseca is a known admirer of the player and is reportedly keen on the idea of bringing him this summer.
Alexis Sanchez is a dynamic striker, who possesses good technical skills and ball control. He would provide a good variety to Roma’s attack.
According to the report, “Alexis Sanchez could remain in Serie A next season, although not at Inter, as Roma would like him on loan from Manchester United. The Chile international is on a dry loan – meaning there is no agreed option to buy – until the end of this term, but Inter do not seem ready to negotiate a permanent transfer. Manchester United don’t have much room for him either, so with a contract until June 2022, another exit is expected. La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Roma are looking to get Alexis on loan with an option to buy in June 2021. He will be 32 by then and his transfer value has already plummeted over the last couple of years. Manchester United paid Arsenal around €34m to sign the Chilean in January 2018.”
