The latest reports in England suggest that Real Madrid are targeting Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.
The 21-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
The France international joined Monaco from Bordeaux for a fee in the region of 18 million euros in January 2020. His contract expires in the summer of 2024.
The midfielder has featured in 15 matches this term, netting two goals in all competitions.
The 21-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in France. Tchouameni has earned five senior caps for the France national team but is yet to open his goal-scoring account for his nation.
His impressive performances this season have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.
The Spanish giants are looking to sign a midfielder and have identified the 21-year-old as potential transfer target.

N’Golo Kante’s absence opened the door for the 21-year-old, and he took his chance. At the moment, Real Madrid only have Casemiro as a specialist in that defensive midfield role, with Antonio Blanco acting as an alternative option to the Brazilian when needed.”

La Liga side need to add more depth to their midfield and the 21-year-old would be a good signing.
It is smart from the club to invest in younger players, rather than splashing out big money on experienced players with no resale value.
Tchouameni has all the skillset required to be a success story at Real Madrid. Therefore, it makes sense for Carlo Ancelotti to step up his attempts to bring the France midfielder to La Liga giants.
It will be interesting to see if Real are willing to pay the asking price for Tchouameni.
