Real Betis in advanced talks to bring Oleksandr Zinchenko
Real Betis are discussing a move to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko.
The reports in England suggested that Real Betis in advanced talks to bring Manchester City wing back Oleksandr Zinchenko.
The Ukraine international was signed by Manchester City in July 2016 from Ufa for a fee of 2 million euros. The 21-year-old has a contract until 2020 with the club.
Zinchenko made 14 appearances across all competitions for Manchester City.
The 21-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Ukraine.
Oleksandr Zinchenko has represented Ukraine at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 28 caps and scoring four goals, before making his senior international debut in October 2015. As a member of Ukraine national football team, Zinchenko won 17 caps and he scored one goal.
The Manchester City manager does not see him in his plans and would be open to letting him leave.
Quique Setién is keen to secure at least one more signing this summer, and Oleksandr Zinchenko could very well be a man under consideration.
The report claims that Real Betis manager has extensively scouted Zinchenko and is considering a move for the wing back.
Zinchenko can also play as a attacking midfielder.
According to Manchester Evening News (via Mundo Deportivo), “Real Betis are reported to have made an official approach to take Manchester City youngster Oleksandr Zinchenko on a season-long loan deal. The versatile 21-year-old made eight Premier League appearances last season and Mundo Deportivo report that Betis want to insert an option to buy the Ukrainian in the stipulations of any loan deal. The report claims that Zinchenko’s representatives have been in Seville to negotiate a move, with a 20% sell-on clause set to be included in any deal. The Estadio Benito Villamarin outfit value Zinchenko at £12 million and would be prepared to pay the fee in three instalments.”
