Newcastle prepare mega offer for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
It’s no secret that Newcastle are interested in Napoli’s winger. But who isn’t?
According to multiple reports emanating from England, Newcastle United are preparing mega offer for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
The Georgia international joined Napoli from Dinamo Batumi for a fee in the region of 10 million euros in July 2022. His contract expires in the summer of 2027.
In 23 appearances for Napoli, Kvaratskhelia has managed to score 11 goals, and create 14 goals for his teammates.
The 22-year-old is the best football player in Georgia. His record for Georgia is also impressive. Kvaratskhelia has scored 10 goals in 18 matches for Georgia at senior level.
The Georgia international is set to be a man in demand in the summer transfer window, with a host of clubs queuing up to pursue his signature.
Eddie Howe wants to sign a new winger and Kvaratskhelia is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. Howe sees Kvaratskhelia as the perfect addition to his attack.
The Magpies have built a reputation for recruiting young talent from within Europe, predominantly targeting those with sell-on value and immense potential.
The Georgia international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of winger Eddie Howe wants to target in the summer transfer window.
Newcastle United are in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
The former Dinamo Batumi man has got the skillset to give Howe more options in the final third. He is a decent finisher in front of the opponent’s goal and can also create some promising opportunities for his teammates to find the back of the net. His tricky dribbling, fantastic shot and pace make him a nightmare for any defender to defend.
According to the report, “Newcastle United are ready to test Napoli’s resolve this summer for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The Georgia winger has been outstanding for the runaway Serie A leaders this season. Football Insider says Newcastle is stepping up their interest in Kvaratskhelia. Any move for Kvaratskhelia, however, will probably require qualifying for the Champions League. Napoli are expected to demand at least €100m to sell. They paid €10m to Dinamo Batumi for Kvaratskhelia last summer after he was allowed to end his contract with Rubin Kazan due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.”
