Newcastle United have been heavily linked with a move for Islam Slimani over the course of the transfer window.
The reports in England suggested that Newcastle United have completed the loan signing of Islam Slimani.
Slimani made 46 appearances across all competitions for Leicester City, scoring 13 goals and supplying seven assists in return.
The 29-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Algeria.
His record for Algeria is also impressive. Slimani has scored 26 goals in 55 matches for Algeria at senior level.
According to the Talk Sport, Newcastle have signed Leicester City striker Islam Slimani on loan for the rest of the season. The Magpies will pay a fee of 2.25 million euros for the Algerian striker after allowing Aleksandar Mitrovic to leave the club. Slimani has fallen down the pecking order at the King Power Stadium under manager Claude Puel making 12 appearances for the club this season. Slimani becomes the Magpies’ second signing of the window after Chelsea midfielder Kenedy completed his respective loan deal to St. James’ Park.
