Napoli enter talks with Stade Rennes for Benjamin Bourigeaud
Napoli are looking set to land Benjamin Bourigeaud after Italian media revealed that they are in advanced negotiations with Stade Rennes ahead of a potential move.
The France international was signed by Stade Rennes in July 2017 from Lens for a fee of 3.5 million euros. The 25-year-old has a contract until 2021 with the club.
He’s incredibly experienced for a 25-year-old and still has tons of room for growth.
Benjamin Bourigeaud has represented France at Under-20 level, winning two caps.
His impressive performances this season have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.
The Napoli manager has kept an eye on Benjamin Bourigeaud and he is impressed with the midfielder’s performances. Carlo Ancelotti is a long term admirer of Bourigeaud and believes he can get the most out of the France international.
Benjamin Bourigeaud can play multiple positions in midfield.
According to Football Italia, “Napoli have reportedly contacted Stade Rennes attacking midfielder Benjamin Bourigeaud about a possible summer move to the Stadio San Paolo. SKY Sport Italia transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio reports that sporting director Cristiano Guintoli has met with the 25-year-old’s agent, to ask about his availability. Meanwhile, the Partenopei have also been linked with moves for Empoli’s Ismael Bennacer and Boca Juniors Agustin Almendra, as they look to reinforce their midfield in the next window.”
