Milan submit bid for Karim Benzema
AC Milan are planning a move for Karim Benzema.
According to a report from Calciomercato, AC Milan have submitted bid for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.
The France international was signed by Real Madrid in July 2009 from Lyon for a fee of 35 million euros. The 30-year-old has a contract until 2021 with the club.
Benzema has scored 202 goals in 403 games for Real Madrid since joining the club in 2009.
His record for France is also impressive. Benzema has scored 27 goals in 81 matches for France at senior level.
Gennaro Gattuso wants to sign a new striker and Karim Benzema is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He is a long term admirer of Benzema and believes he can get the most out of the France international.
The France international provides a unique blend between a classic center-forward and the modern striker.
According to Calciomercato (via Don Balón), “Milan have sent an offer this week to Real Madrid for Karim Benzema, born in 1987, striker of the ‘Merengues’ that the Rossoneri had already followed, concretely, during the last summer. The proposal arrived on the table of the President of the ‘Blancos’, Florentino Pérez, would amount to about € 65 million : the Italian club would also be willing to give the salary (high) that currently the French number 9 receives in the Spanish capital city.”

Real Madrid would be wise to keep the France international, but if they do let him go expect it to be for a hefty sum.
Undoubtedly he would be a fantastic recruit for AC Milan.
