Milan leading the race for PSG star Adrien Rabiot
There has been intense speculation surrounding the future of Adrien Rabiot in the last period.
According to the football transfer rumours in Spanish media, AC Milan are leading the race for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
The 23-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
The France international has one year left on his current contract which expires in 2019.
Rabiot made 208 appearances across all competitions for Paris Saint-Germain, scoring 22 goals and supplying 16 assists in return.
The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in France.
Adrien Rabiot has represented France at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 51 caps and scoring 6 goals, before making his senior international debut in November 2016. As a member of France national football team, Rabiot won six caps.
Gennaro Gattuso is keen to secure at least one more signing this summer, and Adrien Rabiot could very well be a man under consideration.
Adrien Rabiot has the talent to play many roles in midfield.
According to Football Espana (via Corriere dello Sport, France Football and Diario Sport), “Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot – a reported transfer target for Barcelona – could be about to sign for Italian giants Milan. Corriere dello Sport say the Milanese club would need to sell before bringing in the Frenchman, who is a prime candidate on their transfer shortlist. A report in France Football earlier this month said Barca technical director Eric Abidal had met with the player’s mother to discuss a potential deal, while the El Mundo Deportivo printed an image of the Barca duo in the Paris airport. A parallel report in Diario Sport had suggested the French champions would sanction a deal at around €40m despite Rabiot captaining PSG in all three of their International Champions Cup matches. However, the Catalan giants have already signed Arthur Melo and Arturo Vidal to replace Andres Iniesta and Paulinho this summer, meaning their interest may have been discontinued.”

Signing the 23-year-old in the summer transfer window would be a masterstroke from Gennaro Gattuso.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit in AC Milan.
Whether or not this is the end for Adrien Rabiot in Paris Saint-Germain remains to be seen. If the move goes through as reported, then it would be a fantastic deal for all parties involved.
