According to the football transfer rumours in German media, Manchester United will look to sign Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
The 33-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
The Foals spent 9 million euros to sign the Switzerland international from Basel in the summer of 2014 and his contract runs to June 2023.
Since his arrival from Basel, Sommer has conceded 459 goals and provided 90 clean sheets in 335 games for Monchengladbach.
The Switzerland international will turn 34 this season but still has a lot to offer at the top level. His record for Switzerland is also impressive. As a member of Switzerland national football team, Sommer won 80 caps.
Yann Sommer will be high in demand this winter, with him having enjoyed a sublime season for Borussia Monchengladbach this term.

The Swiss, 33, comes off contract at Gladbach in June. “Yann has an offer. We have had good conversations. There is a decision to be made after the World Cup,” said Gladbach’s sports manager Roland Virkus recently. Gladbach should have already identified Jan Olschowsky, 21, as Sommer’s long-term replacement. He is currently the club’s reserve goalkeeper.”
