Manchester United target RB Leipzig centre-back Ibrahima Konate
The defensive department of the Manchester United squad needs quality additions this summer.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Manchester United are targeting RB Leipzig centre-back Ibrahima Konate.
The 21-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
The France international joined Leipzig from Sochaux on a free transfer in July 2017. His contract expires in the summer of 2023.
The 21-year-old has long been touted as one of France’s most promising young talents.
Konate has represented France at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 32 caps and scoring one goal.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Manchester United.
The Premier League ginats are looking to sign a centre-back and have identified the 21-year-old as potential transfer target.
