Manchester United and Chelsea tracking Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi
Manchester United and Chelsea are tracking Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi, according to the football transfer rumours in French Media.
Blaise Matuidi has joined Paris Saint-Germain from Saint-Étienne for a fee in the region of 8 million euros in July 2011. The 30 year-old has a valid contract with Paris Saint-Germain until the June 2018.
Since his arrival from Saint-Étienne, Blaise Matuidi has scored 37 goals and provided 27 assists in 321 games for Paris Saint-Germain, including six goals and four assists in 45 games in all competition this season.
Blaise Matuidi has also represented France at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 37 caps across all age groups. Since September 2010, Matuidi is a member of France national football team, winning 56 and scoring eight goals.
The 30-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in the Ligue 1.
The France international has been in fine form for PSG this season.
Blaise Matuidi has been long term target of José Mourinho and Antonio Conte as the managers look to bolster their midfield options for the next season.
Euro Football Rumours understood that Matuidi has turned down a contract offer at the begging of the season, and has not been given a new deal from Paris Saint-Germain.
