Manchester City submit bid for Hajduk young centre-back Luka Vuskovic

The 16-year-old has come through the youth ranks of Hajduk and has successfully managed to establish himself as a key member of their senior team. He is under contract at Hajduk until 2026.

The centre-back has registered one goal in five matches this season on all fronts.

He has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Croatia. Vuskovic has represented Croatia at Under-16 and Under-17 level, winning 7 caps and scoring one goal.

His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Manchester City.

The Citizens are looking to sign a centre-back and have identified the 16-year-old as potential transfer target.

The report claims that Manchester City manager has extensively Luka Vuskovic and is considering a move for the centre-back.

The 16-year-old heavily relies on his ability to read the game. It is coupled with his sensible tackling and an excellent sense of positioning, allowing him to repel most of the danger in the defensive third. He has the talent to play many roles in defense.

According to the report, “Manchester City are eyeing Hajduk Split sensation Luka Vuskovic. Just 16, the centre-half has made five senior appearances for Hajduk Split. The Athletic says great interest is emerging in Vuskovic and City are among clubs keen. Indeed, City have made a €10m offer plus €2m in bonuses. City is the first club to make a bid. Hajduk Split has neither accepted nor rejected the offer as yet. Vukskovic’s family have hired Pini Zahavi as his agent.”

The Croatian giants would be wise to keep the 16-year-old, but if they do let him go expect it to be for a hefty sum.

Luka Vuskovic has all the skillset required to be a success story at Etihad Stadium. Therefore, it makes sense for Pep Guardiola to step up his attempts to bring the Croatian centre-back to Premier League side.
