Liverpool submit bid for Marco Asensio
It’s no secret that Liverpool are interested in Real Madrid’s midfielder Marco Asensio. But who isn’t?
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Liverpool have submitted bid for Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio.
The Spain international was signed by Real Madrid in July 2015 from Mallorca for a fee of 3.5 million euros. The 22-year-old has a contract until 2023 with the club.
Asensio has played 91 times for Real Madrid since signing from Mallorca, scoring 21 goals and creating 10 assists in that time.
The 22-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in Spain.
Marco Asensio has represented Spain at Under-19 and Under-21 level, winning 29 caps and scoring 15 goals, before making his senior international debut in May 2016. As a member of Spain national football team, Asensio won 12 caps.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Liverpool.

According to The Sun, “Liverpool have made an audacious £150million bid for Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio, according to reports. The Spanish midfielder is considered one of brightest young talents in the world, after breaking into the Los Blancos first-team. And now Liverpool are reported to have already made a formal bid to meet the 22-year-old’s release clause, a fee that would smash the British transfer record, as reported by Mundo Deportivo. The Reds want Asensio to be their creative spark behind the front three of Roberto Firmino, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.”

Signing the 22-year-old in the summer transfer window would be a masterstroke from Jürgen Klopp.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Liverpool.
