According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Liverpool are set to sign Lille winger Jonathan Ikone.
The 23-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
The France international was signed by Lille in July 2018 from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of 5 million euros. The 23-year-old has a contract until 2023 with the club.
The winger has banged in 7 goals and provided 7 assists in 48 matches this term on all fronts.
The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best wingers in France. As a member of France national football team, Ikone won 4 caps and he scored one goal.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp wants to sign a new winger and Ikone is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.

And that securing of a Champions League place for next season is likely to prove crucial in their plans to freshen up their squad. One area sporting director Michael Edwards wants to improve on is on their goals from midfield. And now Edwards has turned his attention towards Ikone to fill that need. Ikone is viewed as a player having the right profile for Liverpool and is able to play on the right wing or in a more central attacking midfield role. Furthermore, Portuguese journalist Pedro Almeida claims Liverpool’s opening offer is worth ‘€25m plus Xherdan Shaqiri’.”
