According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Liverpool are linked with Watford winger Ismaila Sarr.
The Senegal international joined Watford from Rennes for a fee in the region of 30 million euros in August 2019. His contract expires in the summer of 2024.
The winger has banged in 6 goals and provided 5 assists in 28 matches for Watford this term on all fronts.
The 22-year-old is considered to be one of the best wingers in Senegal. As a member of Senegal national football team, Ismaila Sarr won 22 caps and he scored 3 goals.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Liverpool.
By the club’s own admission, Watford winger Ismaila Sarr is Liverpool’s transfer target.
The report claims that Liverpool manager has extensively scouted Ismaila Sarr and is considering a move for the winger.
Jurgen Klopp is a long term admirer of Sarr and believes he can get the most out of the Senegal international.
His arrival would give Liverpool some much needed tactical flexibility.
According to the report, “Liverpool are interested in Watford attacker Ismaila Sarr. The Mirror says the Reds are monitoring the 22-year-old winger who is close to completing his first season at Vicarage Road. Sarr was signed by the Hornets from French club Rennes last summer in a £30m deal, and has even been suggested as a target for Liverpool’s old foes Manchester United by Gary Neville. The winger, who plays alongside Reds star Sadio Mane for Senegal, scored two goals against the Reds to claim a 3-0 win in February. The result ended the chances of Jurgen Klopp’s side having an unbeaten campaign.”

Good signing for Liverpool?
The Premier League side need to add more depth to their attack and the 22-year-old would be a good signing.
Signing the 22-year-old in the summer transfer window would be a masterstroke from Klopp.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Liverpool.
How strong that interest is and whether Liverpool will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
