The 24-year-old has been with Real since 2016, having signed for the club from Peñarol for 5 million euros. His current deal expires in 2027.
In 9 appearances this season, Valverde has managed to score four goals and contributed with two assists.
The 24-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in Uruguay. His record for Uruguay is also impressive. Valverde has scored four goals in 42 matches for Uruguay at senior level.
He is enjoying an excellent season so far.

Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham is regarded as Liverpool’s midfield transfer priority for 2023.”
