This season, Tsimikas has provided seven assists in 37 appearances for Olympiacos.

The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best left-backs in Greece. As a member of Greece national football team, Tsimikas won three caps.

Kostas Tsimikas will be high in demand this summer, with him having enjoyed a sublime season for Olympiacos this term.

Jürgen Klopp wants to sign a new left-back and Tsimikas is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.

Liverpool have built a reputation for recruiting young talent from within Europe, predominantly targeting those with sell-on value and immense potential.

Klopp is a long term admirer of Tsimikas and believes he can get the most out of the Greece international.

The 23-year-old would provide a good variety to Liverpool’s defense.

According to the report, “Liverpool have emerged as the frontrunners to sign Olympiacos left-back Kostas Tsimikas, according to reports in the Greek media. The 23-year-old attracted interest from Sheffield United and Leicester back in January, while on Monday we covered a story saying Tottenham had also entered the race to sign the €25m-rated star. However, Greek outlet Sdna now claims it is Liverpool who are at the front of the queue as they seek to sign cover and competition for Andy Robertson next season. As per the article, the Reds are the only side willing to meet Olympiacos’ valuation of the defender, having watched him closely in the Greek side’s Europa League matches against Arsenal and Wolves.”

Olympiacos are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the left-back, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.

The 23-year-old would be a very good addition for Liverpool and they can afford him as well.

Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Liverpool.

It will be interesting to see what happens when Liverpool come calling for Tsimikas this summer.
