Liverpool keen on Roma midfielder Mohamed Salah
According to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media, Liverpool are keen on Roma midfielder Mohamed Salah.
Mohamed Salah has joined Roma from Chelsea for a fee in the region of 15 million euros in July 2016. The 24 year-old has a valid contract with Roma until June 2019.
Since his arrival from Chelsea, Mohamed Salah has scored 17 goals and provided 14 assists in 38 games for Roma in all competitions this season.
The 24-year-old is considered to be one of the best players in Egypt.
Mohamed Salah has represented Egypt at Under-20 and Under-23 level, winning 22 caps and scoring seven goals, before making his senior international debut in September 2011. As a member of Egypt national football team, Salah has won 52 caps and has scored 29 goals.
The Egypt international is a player who has impressed many European clubs in the last few seasons, and it is understood that Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp would prefer playing him as a forward.
Euro Football Rumours understood that Arsenal’s midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is an alternative if Klopp could not sign the Egypt international in the summer transfer window.
How strong that interest is and whether Liverpool will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
