According to the football transfer rumours in English Media, Liverpool are keen on Middlesbrough attacking midfielder Gaston Ramirez.
Gaston Ramirez has joined Middlesbrough from Southampton for a fee in the region of 14 million euros in 2015. The 26 year-old has a valid contract with Middlesbrough until June 2019.
Since his arrival from Southampton, Gaston Ramirez has scored nine goals and provided seven assists in 35 games for Middlesbrough in all competitions.
Gaston Ramirez has represented Uruguay at Under-20 and Under-23 level, winning 15 caps and scoring four goals, before making his senior international debut in October 2010. As a member of Uruguay national team he has won 42 caps.
The Uruguay international is a player who has impressed many Premier League Clubs in the last few seasons as a member of Southampton and Middlesbrough.
Liverpool want new faces on board to get them firing at the top of the Premier League table and Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the Uruguay international.
According to the English Media, Gaston Ramirez is looking to leave Middlesbrough after handing in a transfer request in January.
How strong that interest is and whether Liverpool will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
