According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Liverpool are interested in Napoli midfielder Stanislav Lobotka.
The 27-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
Napoli spent 21 million euros to sign the Slovakia international from Celta Vigo in the winter of 2020. The 27-year-old has three years left on his current contract which expires in 2025.
He has featured in 14 matches this term, netting one goal and providing one assist in all competitions.
The 27-year-old is considered to be one of the best midfielders in Slovakia. His record for Slovakia is also impressive. Lobotka has scored 3 goals in 41 matches for Slovakia at senior level.
His impressive performances this season have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.

The Reds are desperate to make an impact in the winter transfer window.
The former Celta Vigo man will offer the Liverpool boss the freedom to be more flexible with his formations, tactics and team selections.
According to the report, “Napoli midfielder Stanislav Lobotka is on Liverpool’s radar. TMW says Liverpool are targeting Lobotka. There has been ‘interest in him from Liverpool’ after a successful two years in Naples. However, any pursuit for the Slovakian will prove to be difficult given that the Serie A leaders have managed to tie him down to a new contract.”

Liverpool will have to present a really enticing offer to bring Napoli to the negotiating table. They have the resources to tempt them but it will be interesting to see if they are willing to overpay for the player.

Signing the 27-year-old in the winter transfer window would be a masterstroke from Jurgen Klopp.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Liverpool.
