Liverpool enter talks with Ajax for Antony
The Ajax winger has been identified as one of the club’s potential targets as Jürgen Klopp looks to add more reinforcements in the attacking unit.
If a report from footballinsider247.com is to be believed, Liverpool have entered talks with Ajax for Antony.
The 22-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
Ajax spent 15.75 million euros to sign the Brazil international from São Paulo in the summer of 2020. He has three years left on his current contract which expires in 2025.
The winger banged in 12 goals and provided 10 assists in 32 matches last season across all fronts showcasing just how influential he has been in the final third.
The 22-year-old is considered to be one of the best wingers in Brazil. As a member of Brazil national football team, Antony won nine caps and he scored two goals.
His impressive performances last season have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.
Jürgen Klopp wants to sign a new winger and Antony is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He has always been a manager who keeps his eyes on the most talented young players across the globe.
The English giants are desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.
The former São Paulo man will add a new dimension to Liverpool’s attack.

Liverpool are not expected to pay that for the Brazilian even though he features prominently on their list of attacking targets. Antony has been strongly linked with Man United but they are also reluctant to meet his asking price.”
