Liverpool to consider bid for Torino right-back Davide Zappacosta

Liverpool are considering bid for Torino right-back Davide Zappacosta, according to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media.

Davide Zappacosta has joined Torino from Atalanta for a fee in the region of 4.3 million euros in July 2015. The 24 year-old has a valid contract with Torino until the June 2019.

Since his arrival from Atalanta, Davide Zappacosta has scored one goal and provided four assists in 48 games for Torino, including three assists in 22 games in all competition this season.

Davide Zappacosta has also represented Italy at Under-21 level, winning 17 caps across all age groups. Since November 2016, he is a member of Italy national football team, winning two caps.

The 24-year-old is considered to be one of the best right-backs in Italy.

Davide Zappacosta has been long term target of Jürgen Klopp as the manager look to bolster his defensive options for the next season. Jürgen Klopp sees the Italy international as a perfect replacement to Nathaniel Clyne.

Euro Football Rumours understood that Torino valuate their right-back Davide Zappacosta in the region of 15 million euros.

How strong that interest is and whether Liverpool will make a summer move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
