Leeds United willing to buy Charles De Ketelaere

There has been numerous attacking midfielders linked with Leeds United in past few months.

According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Leeds United are willing to buy Milan attacking midfielder Charles De Ketelaere.

The Belgium international joined AC Milan from Club Brugge for a fee in the region of 32 million euros in August 2022. His contract expires in the summer of 2027.

In 18 appearances for Milan, De Ketelaere has managed to create only one goal for his teammates.

The 21-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Belgium. He has also represented the Belgium at various youth levels before going on to secure 11 senior caps for his country thus far.

Jesse Marsch wants to sign a new attacking midfielder and De Ketelaere is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.

The Belgium international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of attacking midfielder Jesse Marsch wants to target in the winter transfer window.

The former Club Brugge midfielder is a traditional number ten who will add creativity and technique in the final third for Marsch’s side. His versatile nature can help the manager to be more flexible with the formations.

According to the report, “Leeds United are planning an audacious swoop for AC Milan attacker Charles De Ketelaere in the January transfer window. The Elland Road club attempted to secure De Ketelaere in the summer, but he chose to join Milan instead. However, the 21-year-old has found life in Milan tough so far, managing 0 goals and 1 assist in 18 appearances. Speaking to GiveMeSport, CBS reporter Ben Jacobs stated that Leeds will attempt to secure De Ketelaere, either on loan or permanently.”

Leeds will have to come up with the right proposal to convince De Ketelaere to join the club. They have to fork out a huge transfer fee if they are genuinely interested in the Belgium international.

AC Milan would be wise to keep the Belgium international, but if they do let him go expect it to be for a hefty sum.
