There has been intense speculation surrounding the future of James Garner in the last period.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Leeds United will look to sign Manchester United midfielder James Garner.
The 20-year-old’s contract at Manchester United is set to expire at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
This season, James Garner has scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists in 32 appearances for Nottingham Forest.
The 20-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in England. James Garner has represented England at Under-17, Under-18, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 24 caps and scoring 3 goals.
His performances have seen him become the target of many Premier League clubs including Leeds.
Leeds United have earmarked Manchester United midfielder as their target, with Jesse Marsch being a ‘huge admirer’ of the player. Marsch is a firm fan of Manchester United midfielder and Leeds could make a move for the player if the financial aspect makes sense.

Garner will offer the Leeds boss the freedom to be more flexible with his formations, tactics and team selections.

Garner, 20, is under contract at Old Trafford and keen to make it there. However, a cash bid may reveal where the player stands in their future plans. United would ideally let Garner go on loan to a Premier League side next season — with Southampton also keeping a close eye on him. Leeds will look to bring in more midfield talent if they manage to stay up and Garner would come within their budget plans. A loan move could work for all parties but the Yorkshire club may prefer to buy outright — as they did when they snapped up Dan James at the start of the season. Forest would love to keep Garner after becoming a main part of their promotion push but they would have to go up to have a chance.”

Considering they don’t have a big budget, the Whites will have to be smart with the signings in the transfer window.
It would take a huge offer from Leeds to prise the 20-year-old midfielder from Manchester United.

If James Garner is available for the right price, then he could be a clever acquisition for Leeds.
James Garner has all the skillset required to be a success story at Leeds. Therefore, it makes sense for Jesse Marsch to step up his attempts to bring the England midfielder to Premier League side.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Leeds.
