LA Galaxy preparing move for Watford centre-back William Troost-Ekong

According to the football transfer rumours in British media, LA Galaxy are preparing move for Watford centre-back William Troost-Ekong.
Troost-Ekong has been at Watford since 2020 when he joined from Udinese. His contract is set to expire at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
The centre-back has featured in 17 matches this term in all competitions.
The 28-year-old is considered to be one of the best centre-backs in Nigeria. His record for Nigeria is impressive. Troost-Ekong has scored two goals in 53 matches for Nigeria at senior level.
His performances have seen him become the target of many clubs including LA Galaxy.
Greg Vanney wants to sign a new centre-back and Troost-Ekong is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He is a firm fan of Watford centre-back and LA Galaxy could make a move for the player if the financial aspect makes sense.

According to the report, “LA Galaxy are making a play for Watford defender William Troost-Ekong. The Nigeria international has played 16 times in the Premier League this season. Injury struggles have limited Troost-Ekong’s output this season. CBS Sports claims the 28-year-old could be soon be moving to MLS.”

LAG will have to come up with the right proposal to convince Troost-Ekong to join the club.
A club with LA Galaxy’s resources should be able to afford him easily. Watford are preparing to sell their centre-back should they receive right offer for him.

He would be a fantastic recruit for LA Galaxy. Troost-Ekong has all the skillset required to be a success story at LA Galaxy. Therefore, it makes sense for Vanney to step up his attempts to bring the Nigeria centre-back to MLS side.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit in LA.
