Juventus target Manchester United striker Anthony Martial
Anthony Martial looks set to leave, and Juventus are considering making a move.
The reports in England suggested that Juventus are targeting Manchester United striker Anthony Martial.
The 25-year-old has been with Manchester United since 2015, having signed for the club from Monaco for 60 million euros. The France international’s current deal expires in 2024.
In 265 appearances for United, Anthony Martial has managed to score 79 goals, and create 50 goals for his teammates.
The 25-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in France. He has also left his mark at the international stage after netting 2 goals in 30 senior appearances for the France national team.
Anthony Martial is one of the more likely players to be offloaded by Manchester United this winter and the list of suitors in the France international continues to grow.
Adding a striker remains Juventus’s top priority this winter and Max Allegri will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming weeks.
Allegri is a long term admirer of Anthony Martial and believes he can get the most out of the France international.
The Italian giants are desperate to make an impact in the winter transfer window.
Martial is a dynamic striker, who possesses good technical skills and ball control. He has the quality and the experience to make an immediate impact.
According to the report, “Juventus are interested in Manchester United striker Anthony Martial. Juve have added United outcast Martial to their five-man shortlist of strikers seen as back-ups for priority target Dusan Vlahovic, the Fiorentina striker. Max Allegri has drawn up a back-up plan in case his side don’t bag the striker, which features Martial, says Calciomercato.com. The Frenchman has endured a miserable start to the season at Old Trafford, making just seven appearances across all competitions, failing to complete the full 90 minutes in a single one. Benfica’s Darwin Nunez and Serie B side Pisa’s Lorenzo Lucca also make the list, as well as PSG’s Mauro Icardi, who is reportedly being courted by Chelsea.”
