Juventus set to sign Ruben Dias
Juventus appear to have a genuine interest in signing Ruben Dias this summer.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Juventus are set to sign Benfica defender Ruben Dias.
This season, Dias has scored 2 goals and provided 3 assists in 42 appearances for Benfica.
The 21-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Portugal.
As a member of Portugal national football team, Dias won 7 caps.
The Portugal international has impressed in Liga NOS this season and is starting to attract the interest of bigger clubs.
Juventus have built a reputation for recruiting young talent from within Europe, predominantly targeting those with sell-on value and immense potential.
The report claims that Juventus manager has extensively scouted Ruben Dias and is considering a move for the defender.
According to Tribalfootball, “Juventus are ready to step up their interest in Benfica defender Ruben Dias. Juve are turning to Dias after being left frustrated by Ajax’s valuation for Matthijs de Ligt. Ajax are demanding at least €70m for De Ligt – which is deemed over the top by Juve. As such, they’re turning to Dias, who is represented by super agent Jorge Mendes. Mendes is close to Juve sports chief Fabio Paratici and placed clients Cristiano Ronaldo and Joao Cancelo in Turin last summer. Juve would expect to pay around €40m for Dias.”

Benfica would be wise to keep the Portugal international, but if they do let him go expect it to be for a hefty sum.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Juventus.
How strong that interest is and whether Juventus will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
