Juventus leading the race for Kai Havertz

Juventus are reportedly one of many clubs keeping tabs on Germany international Kai Havertz.

According to a report from Calciomercato, Juventus are leading the race for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz.

The 20-year-old has three years left on his current contract which expires in 2022.

Havertz made 109 appearances across all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen, scoring 30 goals and supplying 22 assists in return.

The 20-year-old has been touted as one of the brightest young prospects in Germany.

His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Juventus.

According to Calciomercato, “Juventus are in poll position to sign German midfielder Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen in January, according to Spanish sports magazine Don Balon via Calciomercato.com. The 20-year-old is a product of Leverkusen’s youth academy, having joined the club as an 11-year-old. The player is also in the sights of some unnamed Premier League clubs, as well as Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. Last year Havertz become the youngest player to reach the milestone of 50 Bundesliga appearances, at only 18 years of age.”

It would take a huge offer from Juventus to prise the 20-year-old midfielder from Bayer Leverkusen.
