Inter Milan submit bid for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe
There has been intense speculation surrounding the future of Nicolas Pepe in the last period.
According to a report from Calciomercato, Inter Milan have submited bid for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.
The 23-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs.
The Ivory Coast international was signed by Lille in July 2017 from Angers for a fee of 10 million euros. The 23-year-old has a contract until 2022 with the club.
This season, Pepe has scored 20 goals and provided 14 assists in 35 appearances for Lille.
The 23-year-old is considered to be one of the best wingers in Ivory Coast. Nicolas Pepe has also scored 4 goals in 11 games for his country.
Pepe will be high in demand this summer, with him having enjoyed a sublime season for Lille this term.
Luciano Spalletti wants to sign a new winger and Pepe is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.
The 23-year-old has been long term target of Luciano Spalletti as the manager look to bolster his attacking options for the next season.
Pepe can play multiple positions in attack.
According to Calciomercato, “France Football though, state that Inter have already made an offer of about 60 million euros for the 23-year-old. It states that Inter have been in constant contact with Lille for the winger and have also scouted him multiple times over the last few weeks. Piero Ausilio is very keen on the player and the offer is a result of that. Lille’s president has already confirmed that the player will leave in the summer and that has put many clubs on alert, with Bayern Munich leading the race for him.”
