Inter are discussing a move to sign Davide Zappacosta.
The reports in Italy suggested that Inter Milan are linked with surprise move for Chelsea right-back Davide Zappacosta.
The Italy international was signed by Chelsea in August 2017 from Torino for a fee of 25 million euros. The 26-year-old has a contract until 2021 with the club.
Zappacosta made 38 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea, scoring two goals and supplying two assists in return.
The 26-year-old is considered to be one of the best right-backs in Italy.
Davide Zappacosta has represented Italy at Under-21 level, winning 17 caps, before making his senior international debut in November 2016. As a member of Italy national football team, Zappacosta won 12 caps.
His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Inter Milan.
The report details that Luciano Spalletti feels his defense currently lacks some bite and that he could strengthen in the summer transfer window.
Spalletti is a long term admirer of Zappacosta and believes he can get the most out of the Italy international.
Inter Milan will be in the market for just a handful of statement signings who can improve the first-team.
According to Football Italia (via Gazzetta dello Sport), “Inter have reportedly identified Chelsea’s Davide Zappacosta as a replacement for Joao Cancelo. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Zappacosta’s agent Alessandro Lucci was spotted at Inter’s headquarters on Tuesday evening. The newspaper explains the former Torino wingback is valued at €20m, although the Nerazzurri could negotiate a loan with an option to buy.”

Signing the 26-year-old in the summer transfer window would be a masterstroke from Luciano Spalletti.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Inter.
How strong that interest is and whether Inter Milan will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
