Granada defender Molla Wagué in advanced negotiations with Leicester
Granada defender Molla Wagué has emerged as a surprise target for Leicester City ahead of the final day of January transfer window.
Leicester City are looking set to land Molla Wagué after Italian Media revealed that they are in advanced negotiations with Granada and Udinese ahead of a potential move today.
The Mali international has joined Udinese from Granada on loan for a fee in the region of 2.2 million euros in 2014. The 25 year-old has a valid contract with Granada until June 2019.
Since his arrival from Granada on loan, Molla Wagué has scored two goals and in 37 games for Udinese, including six games in all competition this season.
Molla Wagué has also represented France at Under-19 level, winning two caps.
The Mali international has been a target of Claudio Ranieri as the manager looks to bolster his defensive options for the second part of the season.
Euro Football Rumours were informed that Leicester City are preparing to loan The Mali international until the end of the season with option to buy in the summer transfer window.
