Gil Dias joins Fiorentina

Fiorentina appear to have a genuine interest in signing Monaco winger Gil Dias this summer.

According to the football transfer rumours in Italian Media (Football Italia), Gil Dias joins Fiorentina.

The Portugal international has joined Monaco from Braga for a fee in the region of 5 million euros in July 2015. In July 2016, Gil Dias was sent to Rio Ave on a season-long loan.

Gil Dias made 39 appearances across all competitions for Rio Ave, scoring 8 goals and supplying 7 assists in return.

The 20-year-old is considered to be one of the best wingers in Portugal.

Dias has represented Portugal at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 level, winning 16 caps and scoring 4 goals.

Stefano Pioli wanted to sign a new winger this summer and Gil Dias was one of the names at the top of his wishlist. He was a long term admirer of Gil Dias and believes he can get the most out of the Portugal international.

According to the report in Italian Media, Fiorentina have officially confirmed the signing of Monaco winger Gil Dias, on a two-year loan with option to buy.
