Fenerbahce preparing move for Manchester United left-back Daley Blind
left-back Daley Blind has emerged as a surprise target for Fenerbahce in the winter transfer window.
According to the football transfer rumours in British Media, Fenerbahce are preparing move for Daley Blind.
The Netherlands international has joined Manchester United from Ajax for a fee in the region of 17.5 million euros in September 2014. The 27-year-old has a valid contract with Manchester United until June 2018.
Since his arrival from Ajax, Daley Blind has scored 5 goals and provided 10 assists in 131 games for Manchester United, including two assists in 7 games in all competitions this season.
The Netherlands international has been in fine form for Manchester United this season.
Daley Blind has represented Netherlands at Under-15, Under-17, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 level, winning 55 caps and scoring 3 goals, before making his senior international debut in February 2013. As a member of Netherlands national football team, Daley Blind has won 46 caps and has scored two goals.
The left-back’s contract at Manchester United is about to expire and a number of clubs are said to be monitoring his situation, with Fenerbahce showing the most concrete interest in an attempt to lure the player to their team.
The report claims that Fenerbahce manager has extensively scouted Daley Blind and is considering a move for the left-back.
The Netherlands international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of defensive player Aykut Kocaman wants to target in the winter transfer window.
Aykut Kocaman will reportedly be handed a huge transfer kitty this winter and the Manchester United left-back is thought to be among the manager’s priorities.
Fenerbahce will be in the market for just a handful of statement signings this winter who can improve the first-team.

The Netherlands international would be a versatile addition for the Fenerbahce, having featured at left-back and in a centre-back role.
According to the report in British Media, Istanbul club are one of several clubs plotting a January move for the Netherlands international, who has found himself out on the fringes of Mourinho’s side in the past month. Blind may be forced to seek out other option come the winter transfer window, and Fenerbahce are one such club with the financial capability to convince the left-back to make the switch.
How strong that interest is and whether Fenerbahce will make a winter move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
