Fenerbahce preparing move for Chelsea winger Pedro
Fenerbahce are reportedly one of many clubs keeping tabs on Spain international Pedro.
According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Fenerbahce are preparing move for Chelsea winger Pedro.
The Spain international was signed by Chelsea in August 2015 from Barcelona for a fee of 27 million euros. The 32-year-old has a contract until 2020 with the club.
Pedro made 191 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea, scoring 42 goals and supplying 26 assists in return.
His record for Spain is also impressive. Pedro has scored 17 goals in 65 matches for Spain at senior level.
Given that his contract is expiring soon and he has not yet signed an extension, the rumors have only heated up in recent weeks.
Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli wants to sign a new winger and Pedro is one of the names at the top of his wishlist.
Pedro would provide a good variety to Fenerbahce’s attack.
According to Tribalfootball, “Fenerbahce are planning a free transfer for Chelsea star Pedro during next summer’s window. Pedro has featured eight times in all competitions for Chelsea this season, but only three of those have come in the Premier League with Frank Lampard opting for a young and exciting starting XI. Takvim says Pedro could make a move to Turkey when his Chelsea contract expires at the end of the season. The Spanish winger has been targeted by Fenerbahce’s sporting director, Damien Comolli – former Liverpool and Tottenham chief. It is reported that Comolli will sit down and hold talks with Pedro’s agent in the near future. The 32-year-old former Barcelona player will be allowed to talk to clubs over a potential free transfer in January.”

Signing the 32-year-old in the summer transfer window would be a masterstroke from Comolli.
Stylistically, Pedro would be a great fit in Fenerbahce.
Whether or not this is the end for Pedro in Chelsea remains to be seen. If the move goes through as reported, then it would be a fantastic deal for all parties involved.
It will be interesting to see whether Fenerbahce will make their move during the summer transfer window.
